Services
Contracts are negotiated with an estimated time and a flat fee. As a guideline, the following rate formula is suggested with average hourly rates ranging from $20 – $40 per hour depending on the type of job and except as otherwise noted:
eCommerce Web Site Design Basic: $1,500 base cost
- Global Design with 3 variations
- Index Page
- Product Listing / Search Results
- Product Detail
- Checkout (yes, one page checkout)
- Static Pages (about, contact, etc)
- Advanced Search
- (optional) Registration, Login / Logout
- Each additional page “type” billed as an additional charge
- “Landing Page Manager” borrows the templates from other page types and is designed to allow variations of different page with targeted keywords. For example, a single product description page may have 4 – 5 variations each targeting a different keyword string. This is an optional feature and we charge $500 above the base cost for implementation of the designs with additional conversion features.
eBusiness and Personal sites: $800 – $2,200 base cost. eBusiness sites are non-retail, brochure-style sites that measure “conversion” in a wide number of ways: # of visitors to fill in a contact form, make a phone call, e-mail, view a particular page, download a document, etc. Rasa Design Studio doesn’t just design such sites to “look good” but rather to encourage conversion and increase business.
- Home Page (index)
- About
- Contact Information
- Information Pages
- Dynamic “News” pages (also called “posts” and are time sensitive)
- Optional Landing Pages (add $500 to the design cost)
- Conversion Pages. (Depends on the needs of the business)
- Other Page Types (e.g. galleries, photo detail, etc) negotiated separately
Logo Design: Logo designs are best left to designers that do exactly that. It’s a niche specialty and different designers have different design styles best suited to a particular business. We “can” design quick, good looking logos for businesses in a budget pinch, but we don’t recommend ourselves for this. What we recommend is that we hire the designer that will best capture your business in a logo that will be used, not merely on the web site, but all business correspondence, advertisements, different mediums, etc. A good logo will stand the test of time and be easy to incorporate on everything from site to business card to billboard to the side of a truck. It will look good with and without colors and will be easy to reproduce by other designers.
The cost of logo development can range anywhere from $500 to millions of dollars. It’s THAT important for branding and identity.
Programming, Scripting and Coding: Rasa Design Studio specializes in PHP / mySQL web sites that output XHTML (stricter than HTML and more consistent across browsers) web sites. Our sites are tableless and we separate structure from style from content from functionality as part of good design, programming and marketing practices.
We’re able to scale large-scale, custom applications quickly with our own framework than can include full admin sections, mySQL database connections, Ajax libraries, etc.
osCommerce: Custom and existing “contributions” built and installed. We’ve done it all. We’ve dealt with every conflict, every build, we know every line of code.
CSS osCommerce: Yup, we WERE the first firm to make, not only a stable redesign of osCommerce to produce CSS Tableless, but also added so many SEO and marketing features that we consistently had our clients on the very top of Google across all their products and categories. We’re going to phase this application out with the launch of Seven Stone, but it’s still a great application.
WordPress: Our own site has been redesigned with a ton of different frameworks, but we’ve come back to WordPress, ourselves, for one reason: Why reinvent a fantastic wheel? We know WP. We use WP. We can make WordPress sites look like any kind of business site and NOT a blog.
Marketing: Marketing is NOT merely SEO and getting some “home page” to the top of google. There are a ton of businesses that can offer that. Marketing is about the round trip of getting noticed by potential visitors, getting them to your site, converting visitors into paying customers, analyzing the results and finding the opportunities to improve the site as an ongoing process. It handles promotion, and determines the success of promotion and even determines needs that reach into customer service management, sales and operations. Ask about our SiteCheck services.
