WordPress as a web site and not a 'blog'

Wordpress is a blogging application, but with a little modification, it becomes a clean, crisp, professional business information web site with very easy editing features. Rasa Design Studio has a build that incorporates several Search Engine Optimization (SEO) features and we've disabled some of the blog features. If you want a quick deployment for a non-eCommerce site, this is the way to go. If you want a web site with some limited shopping cart features, but with the main focus on content, WordPress can be modified with several different shopping cart options.

Rasa Design Studio originally designed its own site with WordPress and we enjoyed great success with it before switching to ModX to deliver our pages. The only drawback was that it took a lot of programming hacks to get out of the WordPress environment from time to time. Our needs were considerably more advanced than the average clients and most of our issues were with the integration problems we experienced between WordPress and certain development applications... none of which would normally apply with a business or eCommerce site.

All in all, for the majority of non- or minimal-eCommerce business sites, WordPress has proven again and again to be a solution that's powerful, SE Friendly, Client-Friendly and easy to expand with a host of modifications available for free.

Rasa Design Studio charges from between $800 - $1,600 for our modified version of WordPress with in-house design. We charge $100 for a default installation of WordPress (latest version) and $250 for the Rasa Modified version of WP without any modification or design... a default template is included.
